Mighty Are We
The new year is here, and that means excitement, resolutions, goodbye to the old and bad, and hello to the good and new. There will always be memories and memorabilia of 2017, but now is the time to begin again. There are so many things that we ourselves are capable of doing to make this new year the best one yet.
We all want the best for ourselves and others. The best way to do this is to care for others. Put others first and you will realize that what goes around comes around. Now I'm not saying don't do anything for yourself, but make sure to do good for others as well.
Be kind. Show others that there is good in this world. There is so much happening right now that can be devastating. Brighten peoples day. Smile. Give a compliment, and know you could be a hero to the lost. Be the good in world of bad. Live so that others know you are kind.
Make people believe that there is more than just surviving. Teach them to live with love, and teach by doing. Love others. Love so deeply that you don't know how not to. There is so much hate in this world; show others there is love. Love in every way you know how. Love in new ways, and love those who don't know what it is.
Be ordinarily brave. Be the kind of brave that happens every day. Stand up for what you believe in. Go out of your way to make someone's day better. Step out of your comfort zone a little. Do something you would never do. There are so many ordinary acts of bravery that are overlooked. Be brave for yourself, and bravery for others will follow.
Change is everywhere in this world. Around every corner there is something new. See the change, accept the change, and make change. Change is going to happen, but we can control what kind of change. Let's make it a good change.
Be mighty. Not supernaturally mighty like what was read in the book, but the normal ordinary acts that the mighty committed. Be kind. Show love. Be ordinarily brave. Seek change, and believe in more than what you can see. Believe in something greater than yourself. Believe in others, believe in love, believe in life, and believe in the unbelievable.
